Design Guide for Photochemical Machining
When designing chemically machined parts,
there are certain guidelines which will help expedite production.
Dimensions & Tolerances
There are a few design rules which express practical limitations when the dimensions under consideration approach the thickness of the metal. The most common rules are as follows:

= 110% of Material Thickness (T) |
| Bevel (B) |
= 10% of Material Thickness (T)

| Center to Center (C/C) |
= Artwork |
Typical Tolerances are +/- 10% of material thickness (T)
The etching process creates a bevel (B). As a rule of thumb when etching from two sides the bevel (B) is approximately 10% of the metal thickness.
